“If not now, when?” (Hillel the Elder)
When I was knee deep into the third year of my PhD, I came across inspirational people that kept me going when the going got tough. And it got very tough, which is why I understand the power of motivation through communication and leadership.
I am influenced by Marshall Ganz, teacher, storyteller, and community and union organiser at the Harvard Kennedy School of Public Policy. Ganz mobilised a grass roots strategy for Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential ‘Hope.’ Ganz’s philosophy is based on Rabbi Hillel’s call to leadership that brings a sense of urgency and responsibility to climate change.

My presentations and media appearances to academia, government staff, and lay people are a call to action.
